The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has adopted an Order addressing white space database “push” channel availability changes, and removing the push notification requirement. The FCC also seeks comment in a Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (FNPRM) on database re-check intervals for narrowband and mobile white space devices. The tandem Order on Reconsideration denies a petition for reconsideration of the Office of Engineering and Technology’s designation of Nominet UK (now RED Technologies) as a white space database administrator.
