The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has approved final Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program proposals from Texas and West Virginia.  In June, NTIA issued a Policy Notice requiring states and territories to rescind all preliminary and provisional subaward selections of broadband providers and conduct a new selection round for each BEAD-eligible location under new rules aiming to eliminate preferences for fiber projects and other provisions of the BEAD Notice of Funding Opportunity.  Last week, NTIA approved final proposals from Louisiana, Wyoming, Iowa, American Samoa, Georgia, Arkansas, Delaware, Guam, Maine, New Hampshire, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Connecticut, South Carolina, North Dakota, Hawaii, Montana, Rhode Island, and Virginia.  Louisiana has signed its award amendment, allowing the state to access BEAD funds.
