FCC Announces Appointments to Universal Service and Jurisdictional Separations Joint Boards

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has announced that the Honorable Stephen Michael Bloom, Commissioner, Oregon Public Utility Commission, and the Honorable Chris Nelson, Vice Chairman and Commissioner, South Dakota Public Utilities Commission, have been appointed to serve on the Federal-State Joint Board on Universal Service.  Mr. Bloom will fill the Universal Service Joint Board position held by the Honorable John D. Burke, Commissioner, Vermont Public Service Board, and Mr. Nelson will fill the position held by the Honorable Randy Mitchell, Commissioner, South Carolina Public Service Commission.

The FCC has also announced that it has appointed the Honorable Sally Talberg, Commissioner, Michigan Public Service Commission, to serve on the Federal-State Joint Board on Jurisdictional Separations.  Ms. Talberg will fill the position held by the Honorable Larry Landis, Commissioner, Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission.  Mr. Bloom, Mr. Nelson, and Ms. Talberg were all nominated for their positions by the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC).
