The FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau is seeking comment on a petition filed by the United States Telecom Association (USTelecom) which requests a waiver of certain FCC rules related to the requirements for short form Tariff Review Plans (TRPs).  Comments on USTelecom’s petition are due on or before February 19, 2014, and reply comments are due March 3, 2014.  USTelecom’s petition, filed on behalf of its price cap members, seeks a waiver of non-exogenous cost data filing requirements for the short form TRP found in Section 61.49(k) of the FCC’s rules.  Specifically, USTelecom requests that all price cap local exchange carriers receive a waiver from the requirement that they submit PCI-1 and IND-1 forms as part of the short form TRP (carriers would continue to file the EXG-1 Form and exogenous cost work papers).  USTelecom also requests that the deadline for filing the exogenous cost data be moved to May 19, 2014, to provide extra time for preparation of such exogenous cost data.  USTelecom filed similar waiver petitions in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013, each of which were granted for one year.
