The FCC modified its business contacts and certifications records system to require FCC program participants to disclose prior misconduct as of October 19, 2026. As part of the change, the system will be renamed “Business Contacts, Disclosures and Certifications,” reflecting its expanded role in collecting not only contact and certification information but also misconduct-related disclosures.

According to the FCC, the updated system will be used to collect and maintain points of contact and help ensure compliance with FCC rules through certifications, disclosures, and other information provided to the Commission. The change expands the information maintained in the system and provides the FCC with a centralized mechanism for collecting disclosures concerning prior misconduct from entities participating in FCC programs.
