Following the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s (NTIA) approval of Illinois’s final proposal for the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program, NTIA has now approved all 56 state and territory BEAD final proposals. Illinois and California, the last two jurisdictions to receive final proposal, still require approval from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). All other states and territories have received NIST approval, been formally notified of their awards, and signed their award agreements.
