Space Jammed FCC Meeting Agenda Announced, Includes HAC Relief

FCC Chairman Ajit Pai announced a packed agenda for its meeting in November, which Pai deemed to be “Space Month” at the FCC.  The 11-item agenda includes a variety of orders and notices of proposed rulemaking pertaining to satellite and earth station licensing rules; mitigating orbital debris; earth stations in motion; a SpaceX authorization; and rulings on requests from Kepler, Telesat, and Leosat.  The agenda also includes items to streamline MVPD and hearing aid compatibility (HAC) requirements.  The HAC item would attempt to reduce HAC compliance burdens on wireless providers by replacing HAC reporting with a certification requirement.
