FCC Seeks Comment on Requests to Clarify Rip and Replace Program Reimbursements

The FCC released a Public Notice, announcing that it is seeking comment on Requests for Clarification recently filed by Summit Ridge Group, Inc. and Widelity, Inc. and letters filed by Pine Belt Cellular Inc. and NE Colorado Cellular, Inc. (d/b/a Viaero Wireless). The Requests and letters ask the FCC to clarify and confirm whether reasonable costs incurred by Secure and Trusted Communications Networks Reimbursement Program (Rip-and-Replace Program) recipients to complete mandated compliance work—including preparing Final Certifications, processing invoices, filing claims, preparing Final Spending Reports, and responding to audits—during the 120-day filing period following the expiration of the removal, replacement, and disposal term are reimbursable. Comments regarding this issue may be filed in WC Docket No. 18-89 by June 17, 2026, and Reply Comments are due June 24, 2026.
